This economy has me wanting to buy alcohol stocks. Jack Daniels is still going to get drank during a recession, so we might as well buy this stock as well as Constellation Brands. BTW it has been beating the S&P for a year now, so sit back relax and enjoy some good ole' Tennessee Sippin' Wiskey! CHE...More

In the weeks that are so bad you don't even want to look at your holdings, this is a stock that invariably makes me realize things could have been worse if I didn't have it. Nothing glitzy, but good for keeping up the morale if you allocate a continual percentage of the portfolio to it. Nice little perodic dividend too. In really strong markets I wouldn't expect it to outperform, but if we hit a long bout of stagflation I think it'll hold up quite well in comparison to the rest of the market.
