A speculative, small-cap biotech with likely approval of milnacipran (in partnership with Forest Labs) for fibromyalgia by the end of October 2007. Cymbalta was recently approved for use in this indication and the two drugs have similar safety/efficacy profiles.

It has few, mild side effects and has been used in the UK for successful treatment of FMS.

They have a new drug that is testing very well. Should do well for their cash flow.

This company has enormous potential based on prospects for milnacipran, currently in phase III for treatment of fibromyalgia. The price bumped significantly with a positive phase III trial in 5/07 and two more phase III trials are ongoing. With positive results, FDA approval seems very likely as the drug is widely used worldwide for depression and the side effect profile appears to be low. FDA approval of a superior drug for fibromylagia would justify at least a 3 billion market cap (6 x current level). No major catalysts likely until mid to late 2008, so this is a buy and hold play.
