This is an opportunity for builders with a strong balance sheet to pick up properties on the cheap from builders who aren't able to weather the storm. Another company losing 25% in income in a narrow niche of building residential homes in the middle of a housing crisis. Again at a low in price but with a company that looses 2.3 Bil and has to move 5.5+ just to stick to a .27 EPS for 2009 in a Bear Market. Can you see the beginning of an impossibility factor here? Also, history repeats itself in this sector --- look at the market in 2000-2003. While everything was sinking, the only sector that was steadily rising was HOUSING.
