Zhongpin is one of the largest meat processors in China. This may not be a 'sexy' business but it is stable and still offers tremendous growth opportunities.

I was just rummaging the Henan Zhongpin 10-Q, and on page 11 they have some charts showing that the "Denominator for Diluted EPS" rose from 20,982,304 to 30,784,961 for the quarters ending March 31 2007 and then March 31 2008.

Getting in at 38% less. Sweet! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Seems very quiet at the China stock market nowadays after a pretty massive 50% reduction - I guess when taxi drivers give up their cabs to pursue the stock market, something must be wrong. The aftermath of state of irrational fear in the stock market is where I want to come in. I would like to add to my China exposure. And a pork processor seems to fit the bill here. Things working for it: 1) Modernizing pork distribution in China 2) High growth at low P/E 3) The neuvo-rich in China would seek better food 4) Read Stasi's commentary - very good. With a lot of people moving to the citys and more citys arrising. Farmland will be diminising. someone still has to feed the people. This means more industrey farming, and more money to build it up.
