It will take along time for Hershey to organize and make many cut backs. Last I heard they are moving a plant out to mexico to cut on labor cost by 10%. Hope all works out well for this chocolate maker, during the hardest times of our economy right now.

They have been struggling with sharper competition and are responding with renewed efforts to shore up their market shares and regain lost ground. I can't see a company that make a product that taste so good and that everyone wants. With everyone looking to save money the best thing i could tell them is to lower their price. we all know the stories from our grandparent's " when i was a kid a Hershey candy bar cost .5 cents" Hell they put their candy bar in every troops hands. you can talk about restructuring or cut backs but the bottom line is to give the people lower prices if you want to win the war on chocolate. I'm going to give them a thumbs up for the next 5 plus years. i believe it may fall a little more but in the long run it will bounce back. holiday season is right around the corner. I mean tragedy stages for everyone BUT the current price of HSY is attractive if the market stages a "what me worried" revival this next week or two through July 4th holiday plus (which I expect). THEN, as the results of the african crop become public knowledge, all chocolate is going to break loose here, I'm telling you. A woman may need PMS chocolate, a man may need the 'sex replacement' incentives, but at $5 a bar ain't nobody going to be delving in MORE often, not for a year or better, as/until the next growing season and the associated costs are ironed out internationally.
