Company Background Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. is a developer, owner and operator of branded gaming facilities and related lodging and entertainment facilities in markets throughout the United States and internationally. As of April 29, 2007, it wholly owned and operated 10 gaming facilities in the United States located in Lake Charles and Bossier City, Louisiana; Lula, Biloxi, Vicksburg and Natchez, Mississippi; Kansas City and Boonville, Missouri, and Bettendorf, Davenport and Marquette, Iowa. It also owns a 57% interest in, and receives management fees for operating, two gaming facilities in Black Hawk, Colorado. One of these facilities in Black Hawk, Colorado operates under the name Isle of Capri and features the Company’s tropical island theme. In January 2008, the Company acquired the remaining 43% interest in Isle of Capri-Black Hawk LLC, through which the Company operates Isle of Capri-Black Hawk and Colorado Central Station, both of which are in Black Hawk, Colorado. Usually gambling in the past has done okay during economic hardships, however times are a changing and the competition for entertainment and gambling has made what once was a sure thing ~ more of a long shot.
