As far as Las Vegas goes- there are only three brands that anyone views, locally, as the big dogs. Wynn. LVS. MGM. MGM owns 700 acres of land on the Las Vegas strip and a significant chunk of that is undeveloped. It is leveraging its brand through management and licensing deals in Abu Dhabi, Connecticut, and China. The problems for MGM are implosion of the Nevada and California real estate markets, economic weakness in California, and high fuel forcing airlines to cut capacity have all connived to push the stock down to $30 from $80 earlier this year. I think the debt load is manageable and the high-quality assets back up that debt well. Keep in mind management wanted to buy stock at $80 and higher and is still buying back stock. It is hard to pin down an exact value for the company, but I think it is significantly higher than $30. Report this Post Replies: 0 \| Reply \| Permalink Oops!
