Demographics: 55-64 year olds will increase 45% in the next 10 years. That's who buys RVs. Interest rates have leveled off. Fuel prices aren't as important as believed, since the typical RV is driven fewer than 5000 miles a year. This industry is in terrible shape. I think it's due for a turna...More

I think it is too soon for a turn around. I imagine people selling their big RVs for smaller ones and causing an over saturated market of new and used mobile homes that people don't want or can't afford. Short term this stock is bound to continue down through most of 2008.

Monaco Coach is a rather long shot. The company sure is losing money right now and is very likely to end the year with a loss. However valuation is very low (just 0,17 times sales and 0,64 times book) and with a minuscule long term debt, MNC is more likely to ride the storm out than other RV-makers.

R.V. season is coming, slow economy & high fuel won't help sales. But baby boomer's still want the American dream. They make low end R.V.'s & high-end. Both markets will surprise investors.

Very Cheap @ $9 a Share/ Baby boomers are now retiring in droves and will be ready to spend $ on their Condo on Wheels. Luxury Motor Homes are not affected by fuel prices as this buyer can afford it. Think about it this way/ If fuel costs $3.5 a gallon and the average coach gets 9 miles to a gallon and we travel an average 4500 miles a year in a RV. This would equate to 500 Gallons a year or only $1750 per year which will not keep someone from chasing their dream of owning a Motor Home. Another take would be with the Dollar being weak Americans will stay at home instead of travelling abroad. This will make for a great run with Monaco, Thor and Winnebago over the next 3 to 4 years!

Monaco has acquired other coach manufacturers and is capturing market share of premium RV's. As Baby Boomers retire, I think this company will prosper.
