***

The Company is a online movie rental subscriber which provides more than 6,300,000 subscribers access to a comprehensive library of more than 70,000 movie, television and other filmed entertainment titles on DVD.

Rating a stock in CAPS consists of three components:

Your call - Will this stock outperform or underperform the S&P 500? Successful picks are measured in terms of whether or not you were correct and by how many percentage points.

Your time frame - A guideline for other players to see whether your thinking is short or long-term. Time frame is also used to calculate the stock rating, but is not used in the scoring of your pick.

Your pitch - Here's your chance to offer more detailed thoughts, analysis, concerns, or the rationale behind your call. The pitch is optional and may be added later.

Each time you rate a stock, CAPS updates the community intelligence for the company, which may or may not change its CAPS rating. For more information, visit the Help tab at the top of the page.

I just got Netflix's new gadget to watch the "watch instantly" selections on your TV. I must say that I'm impressed. Set-up was simple and within minutes I was up and running. The quality of the video was excellent with no pauses during playback. Major step forward in the online video delivery.

I have been wrong twice on this stock (shorted at 17 and 21) but at $28 I gotta take another stab and try to recoup some of my lost points and accuracy.

25x PE in this market environment is rich. And the VOD market is loaded with competitors. I don't see how these guys are going to grow the botto...More

Too bad it won't exist in five years.

Shame on me for not getting in on Netflix sooner. I have loved the service for years but thought the same that happened to Tivo would happen to them. Netflix has vanquished Blockbuster and the only obstacle I see for them -- and it's a big one -- is Apple. You can't beat a solid subscription business in the meantime.

I still say some one is going to buy this stock . Microsoft would love to have this and they have moved on past YHOO so grab some of this and hold on to it ..its buyout play I would not be surprised to see this company taken over at 40 bucks a share

I like Netflix's business model and how their management has run the company. They were really smart of making strategic price cuts to prevent their market share loss to Blockbuster and Amazon, while also not buying into Blockbuster's price war when they really threw down the gauntlet. They've also made very strategic investments in streaming media which will be the future of entertainment.

My reason for being short on NFLX is I believe there are too many companies willing to lose money for their share of the pie. For example, hulu.com. It offers alot of old money, yet they don't make any money showing them unless you were to click on their ads. Of course watching on Hulu is not the same as watching something completely commercial free, but for a casual watcher who isn't as keen on the experience, free is always good. I don't think Hulu will be around long, but there seems to always be a new idiot playing this role. Free content is what the consumers really want, but never really profitable. Yet, some idiot will pour several millions into trying it and failing. In the mean time, it'll keep a solid subscription service like Netflix slightly depressed.

I believe NFLX will continue to be a good business because of their sound management. I just think they'll be slightly less profitable in the future and won't be able to be ambitious about growth as they once were. Not because they are bad at what they do, but because the world around them are idiots willing to pour money into money losing ventures.
