Safeco is a good deal at less than $50. P/E under 7, paying 3% dividend, and the cash keeps rolling in. This is a good buy under $50.

I believe mgmt. failed due diligence of maxi- mizing shareholder value by not seeking competitive bids. Return on position was 53%. Our second largest portfolio holding was acquired last year for a return of 150%. Portfolio weighting is 65% financials;7 yr. return is 15% per year vs. nil for S&P 500.
