CAPS Rating:

A financial holding company in Korea.

Your call - Will this stock outperform or underperform the S&P 500? Successful picks are measured in terms of whether or not you were correct and by how many percentage points.

Your time frame - A guideline for other players to see whether your thinking is short or long-term. Time frame is also used to calculate the stock rating, but is not used in the scoring of your pick.

Your pitch - Here's your chance to offer more detailed thoughts, analysis, concerns, or the rationale behind your call. The pitch is optional and may be added later.

About the only company that seemingly makes sense to be buying in the midst of this ridiculously speculative Chinese market is Shinhan Financial. Given the incredible amount of cash coming their way in terms of investments and credit, loans and speculative trading I would expect earnings to be rising in excess of 40% a year over the next 2-3 years. Everyone is waiting for the roof to cave in on Asia, and I firmly believe that will become a reality. Interestingly enough, the last sector to feel it will be the banks here, thus why SHG is a great safety net. Technically it looks ready for a re-test of its old highs.
