****

The Company manufactures pistols, revolvers, tactical rifles, hunting rifles, black powder firearms, handcuffs, and firearm-related products and accessories for sale to a variety of customers, in the United States and throughout the world.

Your call - Will this stock outperform or underperform the S&P 500? Successful picks are measured in terms of whether or not you were correct and by how many percentage points.

Your time frame - A guideline for other members to see whether your thinking is short or long-term. Time frame is also used to calculate the stock rating, but is not used in the scoring of your pick.

Your pitch - Here's your chance to offer more detailed thoughts, analysis, concerns, or the rationale behind your call. The pitch is optional and may be added later.

Each time you rate a stock, CAPS updates the community intelligence for the company, which may or may not change its CAPS rating. For more information, visit the Help tab at the top of the page.

Supreme Court case in March will be favorable to 2nd Amendment rights, causing stock rise. Later in summer when the DC gun ban is struck down, stock will rise again. After that it will depend on the company itself, but these two events will give it a good bump.

With the affirmation in July by the United States Supreme Court (http://www.SupremeCourtUS.gov, that United States Citizens have the Individual Right , not just as members of a militia, to own firearms the United States Constitution, Second Admendent, I expect the shares of Smith & Wesson to outperform the market. I already have owned Sturm Ruger(RGR) since I bought those shares a few years ago at $4 per share.

Smith & Wesson Holding Corp. (SWHC) is a BUY at $4.36 per share.

I think S&W is due for a modest recovery.

I bought in before at about $5 a share, then dumped it at $7.30 or so for a nice little profit. My timing was perfect on it considering it crapped on itself over the course of the next month or so. I have a feeling it will continue this pattern of falling to the $4 range to jump up to the $7 range, then fall again. I'm not going to repurchase in real life, but I will risk my CAPs points and what little dignity I have on it.

Guns, Guns, Guns. Everyone is going to go and by their guns now that they are keeping them legal. Why can anyone complain now. I think I might go buy one now. But this is just going to make people stock up. The stock should soar now, at least for a couple of years. Keep an eye out this is good. This stock is a great choice. By evaluating this company and looking at their growth pattern and their marketing strategies this is a sure fire stock to pick. This company has great leadership with the ability to think outside the box. With the possibility of some future acquisitions this has all the ingredients for wonderful success, short term and long term both. Keep up and watch out. With this outlook ahead, we should also look to the left and right (aka their competion) for huge leaps as well. If you have a little on the side I say diversify within the sector and buy from all the competetors too for they also are looking very solid. That is my pick and I am sticking to it.

With two additional international contracts sitting in Congress and the year old acquisition of Thompson/Center Arms coming into fruition I cannot see this stock holding its undervalued price. With last years lackluster hunting season there is a high probability that this years long gun sales will begin to take off. With the Elite Gold shotgun holding this years President's Top 100 award from Ducks Unlimited and three NRA Golden Bullseye Awards for their M&P 45 pistol, Elite Gold shotgun and Icon bolt-action rifle will raise consumer exposure and sales for all S&W firearms. Something that I and many others didn't see coming was S&W's decision to offer another 6.25 million shares of common stock. This dilution was not favorably viewed even though it was used to pay off a $28 million bank loan. Alternatively it will lower future interest against the company but this action of selling stock to pay back debt does not bear well with stock holders. With this said, I still see a bright future for S&W and I believe that the charts might help my case. I still don’t like the higher RSI and STO numbers but the MACD is starting to head back to towards positive territory. I can only hope that the stock price starts a new uptrend to its previous highs.
