As a OEM supplier to WHR I can tell you that there finish good inventory is very low right. Orders are picking up and they are racing to build inventory back up.

Low PE and great earnings prospects. Sale of GE will place a market value on this stock that is higher than it is currently selling at.

WHR is a stable, well run company which has successfully added the Maytag line to its impressive list of brands. Material costs and energy are compressing their profit margins some this year, but margins should rebound by next year. They are raising prices to compensate. North America sales are down with housing starts, but the fast growing sales levels in Asia are compensating for the most part (overall sales are still growing). As the market returns here in North America, the componding effect on growth should be rewarding to investors. PEG is under .7

This is an easy pick for me--we are a "Whirlpool" family... Whirlpool washer/dryer, water heater, and dishwasher. A great American company making superior household products.


With slow durable goods sales in the hard hit consumer market, this stock has fallen into value territory (P/E 8.80, P/S 0.26, P/B 1.27) for a company with solid financial strength (Quick 0.50, Current 1.20) and trading near a 52 week low.


This company may have a narrow moat, but I think it will regain its losses and continue to thrive after the economy improves.

Revenues keep going up but the stock price keeps going down. Valuation is cheap right now so I'm gettin in.
