Therefore, the street thinks that either King knows more than they do about Alpharma's worth, or King will raise their offer. I suspect the latter as usually the street is skeptical about the decision-making capabilities of large companies making acquisitions, which is why the purchaser's stock often declines. I'm betting that King won't end up acquiring Alpharma and the stock will decline towards the equilibrium it maintained for most of the year pending the PDUFA date for Embeda. I saw it climb $10 a share. I hope Jason gets a clue. I am a doctor and I know what I want. When does Zacks stop paying Sr. Drug analyst to get it wrong??
