Not expecting this to turn into a doubler, or even a 50% gain. But this is a solid pick for $30 because it is the best of breed satellite provider. This is a gut feeling play for me. As the economy slows people are going to turning to more home entertainment options. Instead of going to the movies and dropping $30-$40 they will get a pay per view for $3. Instead of going to 1 football game and dropping $300 plus, they will get the NFL package and watch the entire season, invite some friends over and have a BBQ. Same is true for Nascar, basketball, hockey and baseball fans. Great HD channel offerings and room to grow. Great management and balance sheet.

I hate this company. They have the worst customer service anywhere. Just waiting for my service commitment to end so that I can go back to cable. Hope this stock goes to ZERO, they deserve it.

Good secular driver and now on only 10x '09 earnings with excellent recent growth.

Not expecting this to turn into a doubler, or even a 50% gain. But this is a solid pick for $30 because it is the best of breed satellite provider. With analog sets failing to work in 2009, more people will switch to satellite. It doesn't have that much competition. Dish, it's main rival, doesn't even compare (see the article here by Fool), and other cable providers don't match in channel content or quality. Plus earnings are expected to grow between 20-30% in the next two years.
