While the nature of their partnerships for their Medusa technology is unclear, it seems that numerous partnerships do actually exist. Furthermore they market Coreg CR through Glaxo which has had disappointing revenues but could show improvement after the release of label-expanding data from the completed COSMOS trial, whenever that might occur. Flamel's Medusa technology delivers controlled-release formulations of therapeutic proteins, peptides, and other molecules, without reduction in bioactivity. It's not that Coreg has done poorly, it just has not done as well as expected. Still, this company has a unique drug delivery system. It is only a matter of time before they find the right drug that will benefit from the delivery system and then this thing will take off again. I anticipate that this will languish for a while.
