Honda is a great car company. They are proving it now with innovation and passion. They don't care to be number 1, rather they care about quality and efficiency.

Their cars are also better looking than Toyota, the same if not better in quality and they don't have big trucks that they ca...More

With deflation rampant, people will soon learn that a dollar will buy more tomorrow than it buys today. That will drive spending on big ticket items like cars down.

It is a "monopolies" company, by defination it has many sellers, although sellers try to differntiate, Main St., wants a car that produce 50 (fifty) miles to a gallon of gas per car. We want it afforable, in the name of "saving the planet," and we don't care what it looks like, as long as we can pack our kids, and grocery bags in them.

Which ever producder of this car, could become a "obligopolies"

The automotive sector is getting crushed right now, but I think Honda is positioned to have a great year in 2009.

Why? Well, first the current conditions remind me of 1982, when American buyers ran away from the old Detroit gas-guzzlers and moved towards smaller, more fuel-efficient, more reliable foreign makes.

The Honda Accord and Civic were big successes in the 1980s, and Ford eventually fought back with the Escort. I think that economically conservative and environmentally conscious car buyers will move towards the Fit and Insight this year. The Insight is supposed to take on the Prius for hybrid market share, and it is supposed to be priced under $19,000. It's going to have a big impact in the market, IMO.

Honda makes reliable fuel effecient cars with mutliple manufacturing plants in the USA. Plus they are they are rolling out hydrogen vehicles in the USA in the near future.
