I almost peed myself when I learned Axonics was going public and felt a tingle in my S-2 foramen.
Sacral nerve stimulation is a fast growing industry with currently only one other player (MDT's Interstim). The Interstim product has been neglected due to lack of competition and current clinical data and product assessment shows that Axonics has a better product and will take significant share. Nuvectra (NVTR) has another competitive product that may also enter market soon but Axonics looks poised to take the lead based on their clinical-data based PMA as opposed to NVTR's paper-based PMA. NVTR also has a spinal cord stimulation product (SCS) and their hand in deep brain stimulation so they may be distracted in terms of the sacral nerve stimulation..
Regardless of what happens with AXNX's stock, the real winner here is patients.
