CBS has a strong stable of original content and multiple ways to monetize it. Over the next 5 years, CBS will dramatically increase its non-advertising revenue, creating a more stable (and larger) revenue base. CBS also plans to increase its leverage… More

I agree that CBS is extremely shareholder friendly. The company has been bending over backward to supply shareholders with a nice dividend payout. And I do love dividends.But...I have to look at CBS in the context of its previous partner in crime --… More

Vilas Fund LP idea:
Largest share of US prime time viewership.
ViacomCBS merger synergies (cost reductions).
Huge content library and production capability. This library could be very desirable to tech companies like Apple or Amazon, so there is an important component of optionality here (for example, a show like "The Office" is worth hundreds of millions, years after it finished). Content is King.
6xFE. Cheap relative to competitors Disney, Comcast, Fox, etc.
Rapidly growing DTC streaming strategy
2.3% dividend.

The PE is too low. I believe it is around 6 with modestly rising profits and stable dividend. Curious to know what happens to this stock at such low valuation.

CBS has been beat up as macro business model has changed, but they own great content and have started to expand. Good value here. at around 43/share.
