I think that this company is looking at a hard road ahead. With everyone cutting back on travel and even just minor indulgences, I don't see growth in this market at all in the next few years. Maybe if they were selling tents or facilitating house swaps, then I could see growth, but hotels are already feeling a pinch and it is going to get tighter. I see too many hotels thinking that a remodel is giong to improve profits when what they need is to keep the rooms clean and the staff friendly. The hotel industry suffers from a clear failure to maintain what they have as opposed to going out to buy new. This outlook is going to hurt them as the cost of recent remodels will not be countered by an increase in business. I believe any investment in hotel properties is a bad choice in this market and with the current problems faced by any company trying to find good customer service employees.

I like having a REIT for a long term retirement stock because the heavy tax breaks the companies recieve for giving most of their proceeds back to the shareholders maximize the benefits to John Doe.
