I'm kind of on a run where I've been getting all my ideas from what samstevens picks because I know he's pretty smart, but I don't agree with this one. 5 stars? Really? Sure, Costco is great. I love shopping there. It's so much fun to buy a 5000-pack… More

They do have a high P/E compared to competitors, but they've justified it by maintaining consistent growth and value to all stakeholders. I've never spent less than $200 except when I run to the pharmacy. I'm guessing its the same case for 99% of shoppers based on the other carts in the checkout lines. The Kirkland brand is synonymous with value and reliability. They have some of the highest paid and happiest employees in retail. Costco makes their profits from membership fees. Costco has a high membership retention because of the value members get buying in bulk. I'm giving up my Prime membership before Costco.
