Recs
They can't seem to get it right and are getting beat by larger competitors. And then they get hacked themselves. There are better players in this segment.
Recs
Times have been tough for this stock, but with the recent cyber attacks there is room to prove themselves again and return to growth.
Recs
FireEye has lost their way as a security company. The saving grace for this company will be if they are acquired. The Mandient consulting side is quite capable, but cyber security at that level is highly dependent on the qualifications and capabilites of the team members. There are limited resources at those levels and therefore the business is not scalable. The FireEye hardware and services side suffers from very expensive subscriptions for niche parts with a questionable return on investment for the average business. They are pushing their end point security devices which are quite good along with a Managed Security Service geared toward responding to those systems. That's fine except for the systems they don't support, the myriad of incidents they do not respond to based on their criteria for criticality, and the eventual overlap between business resources and FireEye. Going down this route will cost the customer a significant amount while not fully covering their current incident response team responsibilities, making them an augmentation services and not actually replacing in house security staff.
