When I learned that Shopify was going to start making its push to help merchants expand internationally with Shopify Markets, I got excited for Shopify. There’s still so much market share to grab, and I believe Shopify still has a long runway ahead of itself. When I learned that Shopify decided to outsource, so to speak, this international objective to Global-e, I rather than build it themselves, I got very excited…for Global-e. Shopify has an incredibly talented development team and for them to say that Global-e already has a product that exceeds their own expectations on what Shopify Markets should be, that tells me that Global-e is for real. They have a strong management team with three founders at the helm. They have a track record of success with global brands. Very much looking forward to this growth story. Who knows, it could be an even bigger growth story than Shopify itself!
