NIS is a ADR and the Company is based in Japan. For those of you that don't know, a American depositary receipt or (ADR) is a stock that trades in the United States but represents a specified number of shares in a foreign corporation. ADRs are bought and sold on American markets just like regular stocks, and are issued/sponsored in the U.S. by a bank or brokerage.
If I am not mistaken, 1 share of a NIS adr is worth 10 ordinary shares of this Japanese stock. Now one NISSIN ORD share in Japan is trading at 366 Yen as of Fri Nov 30, 2007. The symbol is 9066 in the Japanese market. Now 366 Yen is worth around $ 3.29 in US dollars.
Now, if we take the one NIS adr and multiply it by 10, this number comes to $32.99 a share. We get the multiplier 10, because 1 adr is equal to 10 ordinary shares.
Now, this is why I bought shares, because as you can see this stock is definately undervalued in my opinion in the US market.
So what do you guys think, and correct me if you disagree.
