I am a physician in Canada. I perform Botox injections as part of my practice. Every patient that I see seems to want Botox, but the fear of injection is the biggest barrier to them getting it, rather than price. That said, I have patients in their 20s to their 70s who do receive Botox injections. I have to say, that I am always nervous injecting a toxin into the skin that can potentially kill my patient, especially since this is an elective procedure. If I had a non-injectable form of Botox that I could simply apply on the skin rather than inject into it, I would stop offering my patients Botox brand injections immediately and start offering them the Revance product instead. I am certain that I would be able to recruit more patients with this product, compared to the injection.
