Spainish economy slowly starting to grow, bad debts are dropping, US economy slowly starting to get back to normal which should take Mexico with it.

Since Banco Santander is headquartered in Spain and is still a big presence in the country, it's strongly associated with that stagnant economy. But Santander has built itself into a global lender, becoming a major presence in certain growth markets in South America. It also has a U.S. banking operation. On top of that, it offers a temptingly high dividend payout for the banking sector.

Interested in the partnership with the Ripple app (multiple currencies and cryptos), how that rolls out in Europe and if they can bring it to Central and South America as well.

Watch this one and BBVA. You may have an opportunity to get in at a better price because Spain is getting ready to have a forced election, which may or may not change who is in charge, but could create enough "turmoil" to cause a significant short term drop

Spain has made significant progress, but there is still work to be done, but if there is a change over in the party leading the parade, there could be short term pain.

Don't bet the farm on them, and "nibble" your way in for a longer term hold.

Both are good large world wide banks, paying a good dividend, but with Europe playing with negative interest rates, most of the European banks are experiencing a short term beat down.

JMO and worth exactly what I am charging for it.
