With China holing 80+% of the worlds REE and with expectations that they will be curbing exports of the REEs that we need to keep our tech going this is a spec REE play with huge potential. They have rights to a proven REE mine closed in 1991. They… More

You got to love the future prospects of Stans Energy. In comparison to other rare earth mineral companies currently producing (or not) Stan's has the processing facility and rail system to get raw materials into production in a short time frame. Also worth mentioning that Stan's Kutessay II mine contains a large percentage of heavy rare earth minerals which sell at a premium. Not many companies producing rare earth minerals outside of China and China drastically reducing exportation of rare earth minerals. Stans Energy is an easy home run stock within a year or less!

With China holing 80+% of the worlds REE and with expectations that they will be curbing exports of the REEs that we need to keep our tech going this is a spec REE play with huge potential. They have rights to a proven REE mine closed in 1991. They have just completed the purchase of the Kyrgyz Chemical Metallurgical Plant to refine the metals (along with all the machinery), which gives them an advantage over virtually all of the other spec REE plays out there. While the plant needs refurbishment it is still MUCH less expensive than getting permits and funding to build a plant. They also have mining rights to the surrounding area and have found a field close to the proven mine that after an initial survey shows a larger REE deposits than the one originally mined by the Soviets. The proven mine is an open pit, which will keep mining costs down. The company purchased a railway terminal for transport and an excellent infrastructure is in place (including qualified trained labor). Stans Energy Chairman was the former Ambassador to the Russian Federation for Canada, and is now the Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic for Canada.

“Previously produced 80% of the former Soviet Union’s REEs from 1960-1991 and was closed down due to low REE prices.

Former producing REEs open-pit mine with 30 years of proven metallurgy, with approximately 65% recovery

Good infrastructure, rail line 43 km away, electrical power on site, and the mine is located 140 km by paved road from Kyrgyzstan’s capital city of Bishkek

Contains all 15 REEs and formerly produced every REE at purities up to 99.99%

Light Rare Earth Elements (LREEs) to Heavy Rare Earth Elements (HREEs) ratio of approximately 50/50
Kutessay II concentrate was refined into 120 different REE compounds”

On the minus side is potential social unrest. As with any “new republic” licenses and permits mean squat if the country overthrows its government. They had problems with civil unrest in April 2010.
