Tootsie Roll isn't innovating enough to produce attractive growth for its shareholders and based on the fact that the Gordon family owns the majority of its shares, that probably won't change anytime soon. Tootsie Roll's dividend is safe, but probably won't grow as much as I'd like as long as its growth problems continue. And since the stock trades at a huge premium to fair value, there is quite a bit of downside risk.

I just recently got caught in a short squeeze. I didn't know what that was ,but knew something was up when a stock that barely moves started to climb.
Purchased in Sept. 2020 for $30, high today was just under $60 but then headed down.
Tootsie Roll will underperform the S&P ! Just lucky timing for me if that was what was going on.
