Recs
Even during the good times, this doesn’t look like an attractive business, and times aren’t exactly good right now for VLGEA. Fiscal 2015 is expected to be better, but it seems likely that competition is only set to increase in the future, and one has to wonder how well-positioned VLGEA truly is to compete.
Given that the company is primarily located in New Jersey, domestic geographic expansion seems like an interesting future opportunity. But so far the company has struggled with its 2 Maryland stores, so that too looks questionable and risky.
Overall, I personally just don’t see much that is appealing about this business.
Recs
As long as this company keeps doing what is doing it may stay ahead of the S&P.
