The Company provides water and wastewater services through operating and maintenance contracts with municipal authorities and other parties, and septage hauling services, close to its utility companies' service territories.
The best Bull and Bear pitches based on recency and number of recommendations.
Aqua America has raised its dividend 25 times in the past 24 years, and has paid a dividend for 71 consecutive years.
This stock will underperform the market, but that's okay, so long as revenue and the dividend continue to increase. Over time that yield will look pretty nice. On dips it will look even better.

Recs
I’ve followed Aqua America for a few years now (bought in ~$33 IRL) and am interested by this company.
As a water and wastewater services utility serving several states across the US (including NC, PA, OH, etc) they’ve managed to use their steady cash flows to both grow the company and offer a steady (and growing) dividend.
The Aqua execs are excited about the opportunities that the recent trend of “fair market value” legislation has had in the municipal water space. This allows investor-owned utility companies to offer a more competitive price/value for a municipal utility. It seems like more states are looking to open up this legislation going forward, which I see as a great way to continue this growth through acquisition.
Aqua also agreed to acquire People’s Natural Gas last year, which indicates to me that the company leadership is continuing to explore growth opportunities. Outperform for the long-term!
Recs
big opportunity to grow the dividend if it wins more military contracts (for managing water services on bases).
